Your privacy matters to us. Tidy AI is designed to help you clean your space, not invade it. This Privacy Policy describes how Tidy AI handles your information when you use our AI-powered cleaning assistant. We believe in being straightforward and transparent.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Application refers to Tidy AI, the iOS app provided by the Company.
  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to SriniApps, an individual developer.
  • Country refers to: Sweden
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as an iPhone or iPad.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the Application.
  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Our Core Privacy Commitments

Before diving into the details, here is what you need to know about Tidy AI:

  • No account required. We never ask for your email, phone number, or any personal information.
  • Photos are processed, not stored. Room photos you take are sent for AI analysis and immediately discarded. We do not keep your photos on any server.
  • Cleaning history stays on your device. Your session history, stats, and before/after photos are stored locally and never uploaded.
  • No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers.
  • No data sales. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes.

Your Consent

Tidy AI obtains your explicit consent before sending any data to third-party services. Before your first room scan, the app displays a clear notice explaining that your photo will be sent to Anthropic (Claude AI) for analysis. You must acknowledge this before any data is transmitted. You can decline, and no data will be sent.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Room Photos and Third-Party AI Processing

When you snap a photo of a room, the image is sent to a third-party AI service — Anthropic (Claude AI) — to analyze the room and generate a cleaning plan. Before your first scan, the app asks for your explicit consent and explains this process.

Specifically, the following data is sent to Anthropic:

  • Your room photo — a compressed JPEG image of the room you photographed. No location data, metadata, or other personal information is included.
  • Your selected energy level (low, medium, or high) — used to adjust the number of cleaning tasks generated.

Importantly:

  • Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers or by Anthropic.
  • Photos are immediately discarded after the cleaning plan is generated.
  • Anthropic does not use your photos for AI model training. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.
  • We have no ability to retrieve or review photos after they have been analyzed.
  • Before and after photos you take are stored only on your device.

Anthropic provides data protection standards that meet or exceed those described in this Privacy Policy. Your data is transmitted securely via encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) at every step.

Cleaning Session Data

Tidy AI stores your cleaning session history (room type, duration, tasks completed) locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to Tidy AI Pro, all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

Analytics

We use PostHog for basic, anonymized usage analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular, where users encounter issues). This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company uses the limited data described above to:

  • Generate cleaning plans: Processing your room photos with AI to create personalized task lists.
  • Manage subscriptions: Using RevenueCat to verify your subscription status.
  • Improve the Service: Using anonymized analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the app experience.

Third-Party Service Providers

Tidy AI uses the following third-party services. Each provider is contractually required to protect your data to a standard equal to or greater than what is described in this Privacy Policy:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — Powers the AI room analysis. Receives your room photo and energy level selection. Photos are processed in real-time, not stored, and not used for AI model training. Your explicit consent is obtained in-app before any data is sent. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — Manages subscription status and in-app purchases. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • PostHog — Anonymized usage analytics. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Retention of Your Personal Data

Tidy AI retains as little data as possible:

  • Room photos: Not retained. Processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
  • Cleaning history: Stored only on your device. Deleted when you uninstall the app.
  • Subscription status: Managed by RevenueCat per their data retention policy.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your data is important to Us. All communication between Tidy AI and external services uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Room photos exist only briefly during AI processing and are never written to disk on any server.

Children's Privacy

Tidy AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has used Tidy AI, please contact Us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
